A world held in the throes of darkness
a world looking for a way out of
the quagmire of destruction
that besets it.

The struggle within
has been intense.
Struggle evokes memories
of a life that once was pure.

Everywhere we had turned to
we saw destruction.
We saw oppression, repression
no way out of the clutches of evil.

In our innocence
we thought
safety,
joy.

We looked at our little ones,
innocence personified.
Who will be there for them
when we are gone?

Dark thoughts
swirling in our minds
in a world gone dark
with sorrow, with hopelessness.

Now out of the darkness
comes a herald
bringing a message
of hope, of light!

At first it looks like a
mirage,
apparition,
deception.

Look further
look within
find that strength
to fight off clutches of darkness.

Fight it off, for,
hope is here at last
the light is coming
prepare to meet the light!

The Light of the universe comes
bringing with it
joy, peace,
truth and love.

Now we shall have the last laugh.
We shall look into the abyss
yes, even step into it and

Clerical Petition Stops Ohakim From World Igbo Congress

The absence of Governor Ikedi Ohakim at the just ended World Igbo Congress in Florida U.S.A has been attributed to the petition written by a congregation of Pastors in Owerri. The petition we gathered was addressed to the president, complaining about the frequent and unfruitful abroad trips of his excellence.

The doctrinal divergent Pastor’s buried their deference and united in the petition against the governor whom they accused of mismanaging the state and they further decried the rampant and unabated kidnapping, armed robbery and over all lack of security in the state. The petition was addressed to the President and copied the Director of State Security Services (SSS)

In a swift reaction, the image maker of the governor, Mr. Steve Osuji confirmed the presence of a petition but debunked that it was the petition that stopped the governor from attending the WIC. According to him, the president has no right to stop the foreign trip(s) of any governor. He further stated that the Governor and his entourage had procured visas but had to opt out at last minute due to feelers coming from the venue of this year’s congress that the congress will not achieve its aim.

The WIC ended over the weekend with two factional leaders emerging with only one governor; Governor Theodore Oji in attendance.

I apologise

I know that by some standards, i have not been gone for so long.
But if you read my blog consistently, then you will know that it really has been a while in Tosyn Time.

I have not been able to blog because while i have been seemingly happy on the outside (the best parties, birthday week, s.h.a.r.ed weekends, meeting maybe him, etc etc), i have actually been unhappy and bordeline depressed for a few weeks now.
Writing helps, writing helps ease those demons out. But a blog is like a private public journal and i was not ready to share all that pain and darkness with you guys.

I wrote a lot however.
I wrote in random notebooks, i even wrote with my phone, saving text message after text message about how i felt.
It's been nerve wracking and heart wrenching. It has involved a lot of losing, i lost so much. Some i want back, some i am glad and grateful for, and others i am unsure of.
I pray that when the light at the end of this tunnel comes up, i would have grown.
I would have grown emotionally, and spiritually.
I pray i would have grown wiser and smarter and kinder.
And maybe taller.
OKAY fine! Wishful thinking!

It is not about you.
You make me happy.
God makes me happy. Very happy. HE makes it all sense...ALL.
He makes me happy.
But i cannot tell you about him yet... at least not without his permission!

Why am i blogging now?
1. I feel i should apologise to you guys for abandoning you without explaining!
2. I want to tell you about the fun things that have been happening to me, like s.h.a.r.e, Club Nomoreloss, Osagie, Music, Entertainment, Opportunities, and (i blush here)

I will be back.
