Reached the top & reckons maybe
Cold days are felt more harshly
Yes even the rain falls tend to be a welcome sight
Will my day break soon?
I have spent too long looking out of windows
Isolated from the outside world
life as I know it, a repetition of yesterday's motions
Ah I welcome a change, but what will it bring
familiarity, a gift that is a continuation of old
I would rather wait, and wait on the Lord
His gift brand New
I remember that first day
A gift previously told of before
of old, wrapped in the choicest of things
things my mind could never comprehend
Yes I remember that day
how I almost refused to unwrap my gift
You see the colours
and settings wasn't what I had ever considered
the brightness, the way it gleamed
the assortment of GREAT qualities
qualities I believed was beyond me
